In memory of Heidi Shelton

(June 28, 1971 - October 15, 2019)

“Thousand Moments:

I still remember the day the world took you back & there was never time to thank you for the thousand scattered moments you left behind to watch us while we slept.”  ― Brian Andreas

“Anyone can slay a dragon...but try waking up every morning and loving the world all over again. That's what takes a real hero.” ― Brian Andreas

We lost a dear, beautiful soul.

My friend fought an uphill battle against depression. She was so STRONG. TOUGH. COURAGEOUS. HOPEFUL. She fought. And she fought hard. But as one of her friends said, this is “…a demon that leaves no one intact (MR).” It is heartbreaking that she is even further beyond our reach. I gathered all the memories I had of her, from our Nordstrom days to our times discovering + navigating our new life in Los Angeles, CA. Heidi was a gifted artist. She had such a deep compassion, a kind heart, an infectious smile, a beautiful spirit. I struggle to find all the right words…how to best honor her life and her amazing spirit. So I hope this virtual memorial helps you feel a little closer to her.

Her birthday is this month, June 28th. So here’s to celebrating her life. Love, Cathy (6/14/2020)

ABOUT HEIDI SHELTON

FROM SEATTLE TO LOS ANGELES,

Heidi’s Ultimate Guide to LA

If you’re in LA, consider Heidi as your spiritual tour guide. She’ll be with you in spirit as you enjoy the journey through HER Los Angeles. Cool? Cool.

A chronological journey (2014 - 2018) of Heidi’s adventures as we discovered Los Angeles together. These are adventures we checked off her list, delicious snacks we ate, fun events we attended, cool people we met (or creeped from a distance, sorry LL Cool J) and the amazing friends made along the way.

Heidi LOVED the sun and the beach. She loved feeling the sand between her toes, the sound of the waves, the smell of the salt air. It was renewing and cleansing. And hopeful. She chased her dreams. She’s a Pacific Northwest girl, but for me, she’ll always be a California Girl.
